Upload your music by clicking on your account options or from the "My Music" tab by following the instructions in the tutorial here. Metadata can only be modified from a web browser, so be sure that you are logged in on your laptop or desktop computer.
Find the Album you’d like to edit, and click the “More Options” menu as shown in the screenshot. Select “Edit Album Details.” From there you will be able to edit:
- Album Title
- Album Artist
- Year
- Genre (up to 5 genres may be listed, separated by commas)
You will also have the option to match all the tracks in the album to the album artist that you’ve entered – this is useful when you want to edit a large number of tracks at once.
If you wish to merge a track into a different album, simply select the track you’d like to merge, click the “More Options” menu to edit the Album Artist and Album Title details to be identical to the album you wish to merge to. Then click “save” and your selections will now be merged.
Please note: this applies to uploaded music only. Downloads from the eMusic store cannot currently be edited.
