Will I be able to watch the concert on my TV?

Yes. eMusic Live platform supports casting to Gen 2 or newer Chromecast from either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser directly to your TV.

In the future we will offer more options for watching eMusic Live concerts on your TV, including more robust casting options and native TV apps!

How to Cast The Concert From The eMusic Live Player

If you already have a 2nd Gen Chromecast or newer connected to your TV follow these instructions:

1. Go to the page of the concert you wish to watch using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. If you do not have Google Chrome installed you can download it here. Microsoft Edge should be pre-installed on every Windows based machine running Windows 10.

2. Sign into the event with the account that was used to purchase the ticket and wait for the event to begin.

3. Once the event has started move your mouse to be on top of the playing video until the player bar appears. If you are using a mobile device click the playing video once to make the player bar appear.

4. If your Chromecast is set up correctly and is turned on you should see an rectangle icon with 3 curved lines on the right side of the player bar as seen below:

5. Once you click the icon above a list should open with on the top right of the screen, showing all the different device available to be cast to.

6. Locate the name of your Chromecast device in the list of devices and click it.

7. Enjoy the concert!

If the instructions above did not work out for you, worry not!

While we are working on more ways for you to watch our concerts on your TV there are currently a few more ways for you to try, some of which might require a little more work on your end.

No matter what kind of tv or streaming device you have, you will first need to open the event page you wan to watch on a computer or phone. After accessing the event you wish to watch and signing in with the account that was used to purchase the ticket, you can do one of the following:

How to Cast The Concert From Google Chrome Browser

The Google Chrome browser can cast to a Chromecast device on either Mac or PC, which should be a good option for you regardless of your device. If you do not have Google Chrome installed you can download it here. After you have it set up and ready follow these steps:

1. With the TV turned on and the Chromecast running, go to your computer.
2. Using a Google Chrome browser access the event page on eMusic Live (if you haven't already).
3. Go to the three dots icon in the upper right corner, find CAST in that menu.
4. Click on CAST and select the device available, which should be the Chromecast you set up. 
5. Once you click the available device, casting should begin.
6. Put the website on “full screen,” found in the bottom right corner of a video player, and enjoy the concert!
7. If “Optimize for Streaming” comes up as an option, click OPTIMIZE for the best viewing and listening experience!

Plug an HDMI Cord into your computer.

This option requires a little more technical know-how but should still be easy enough to accomplish. For this option you would first need to make sure your computer has an HDMI slot (The slow will have HDMI written above or below it). You most likely already have an HDMI cord connected to your tv, allowing you to watch a dvd player or another external drive. Here’s how to use it in collaboration with your laptop.

1. Keep one end of your HDMI cord attached to your tv.
2. Plug the other end of the HDMI cord into your laptop.
3. Click the input button on your tv’s remote and switch the HDMI to ‘HDMI 1’, ‘HDMI 2’, or ‘HDMI 3’, depending on which port your HDMI cord is plugged into on your tv.
4. If the image from your computer doesn’t automatically pop up onto your tv, go to your computer and switch its display settings to ‘mirror’.
